Terms of Service

Terms of Service

Last updated August 20, 2026

These terms explain what you can expect from us and what we expect from you when you hire Win With Words. “We” are a sole proprietorship operated by Ashton Ivey in the United States. By accepting a proposal or signing an agreement with us, you agree to these terms.

What’s included

Every project is defined by a written proposal that you review and accept, along with a signed agreement. The proposal governs exactly what’s included in your project.

Our services are brand messaging strategy, copywriting, and website design for small businesses. These include the Word Strategy Playbook ($2,500 one-time), a six-page website build ($4,000 one-time, with extra pages at $165 each), and the Care Plan for website maintenance ($150/month). Add-ons include logo design ($450), a lead magnet ($750), CRM setup ($750), and ad management ($400/month). Everything we deliver is digital or hosted; we sell no physical goods and ship nothing.

Payment

You can either pay a 25% deposit with the balance due on delivery, or pay in full at kickoff. Invoices are due within 7 days. Every charge is raised against an invoice you have already agreed to in writing.

Refunds and cancellation

Deposits are non-refundable once work has begun. You may cancel the monthly Care Plan at any time, and no further charges are made after the current billing period.

Revisions

Two rounds of revisions are included in your project. If you need more, we’ll quote those separately.

What we need from you

To keep your project on track, we need you to supply your content, brand assets, and timely feedback. Project timelines depend on it.

Ownership

Once you’ve made final payment, you own the final deliverables and the copy we wrote for you. We keep the right to show the work in our portfolio and case studies, unless you ask us not to.

The Care Plan

The Care Plan covers hosting, security monitoring, backups, domain and DNS management, and small content edits. It starts the month your site goes live.

Limitation of liability

We put our best work into every project, but we can’t guarantee specific business results such as traffic, search rankings, or revenue. If something goes wrong, our total liability to you is capped at the fees you’ve paid us.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina. If a dispute comes up, we’ll first try to sort it out directly with you. Anything that can’t be resolved that way will be handled under North Carolina law.
